#CouchbyCouchwest instead of South by Southwest – we’ve already introduced you to what’s behind this idea in an article. The videos are made possible by the City of Hamburg. The sofa event continues today with clips about a pioneer of the SXSW living room conference, with tips on how to pitch yourself most skillfully, and about a performance artist in the video age.

Michael Praetorius: an Airbnb house as a television studio

Michael Praetorius is the man who made the first round of #CouchbyCouchwest technically possible. When he heard of the idea, he was spontaneously ready to make his know-how and equipment available. Michael is predestined for this format, after all he produced breakfast television for YouTube in an Airbnb house in Austin a few years ago. In the interview he talks about his experiences.

Bianca Praetorius comes from a family of tech nerds. She herself learned acting, but never worked professionally in this industry. In her current job she combines both worlds. A live audience and their reactions are actually an indispensable element of his performance.
