Together in the ring: Hamburg Startups and Klitschko Ventures form the „Startup Challenge Team“

What does it take to be successful as a startup in the long term? Who perseveres? Who fails? The makers of Hamburg startups have been investigating this question for six years now by monitoring, advising and promoting the German startup scene. They have observed that it is obviously due to the different ways in which challenges are dealt with.

„Who knows better than Waldimir Klitschko how to meet challenges, master them and stay mentally and physically fit,“ says Sanja Stankovic from Hamburg Startups. She was a participant in an F.A.C.E. camp, which uses the F.A.C.E. the Challenge method by Dr. Wladimir Klitschko to transform problems into challenges and enables the participants directly to implement solutions.

Willpower is the key ability

Willpower in the sense of implementation energy is the key ability that made Wladimir Klitschko the longest reigning world champion in boxing history and which is therefore also the focus of his method. With F.A.C.E., the acronym for Focus, Agility, Coordination, Endurance, willpower can be learned.

Sanja Stankovic recognised the potential of the F.A.C.E. the Challenge method for the founders of her network and therefore asked Klitschko Ventures for advice. „We were immediately enthusiastic about the idea of a cooperation because we are convinced that our method can help to classify the typical challenges of startups according to our F.A.C.E. system, to derive solutions for the founders and to provide concrete measures for their specific challenges“, explains Tatjana Kiel, CEO of Klitschko Ventures.

Online survey identifies the biggest challenges

A joint online survey, which captures and quantifies the challenges as accurately as possible, sets the starting point for the synergy between the two corporate networks. Where exactly the F.A.C.E. the Challenge method applies and is directly usable for the founders and their challenges, is worked out subsequently. This creates real added value for the startups.
